The ideal of accomplishing perfection can cause us to be overwhelmed and not only affect our daily routines, but interrupt our normal thinking process. Women who suffer from the “Superwomen Syndrome” apply additional stress to themselves by wanting to take on much more than necessary. The need to assume responsibility, be involved in multiple projects, and simply be “doing something” ultimately boosts anxiety. Anxiety disorders are the most common mental illness in the U.S., affecting 18% of adults, according to leading specialists in anxiety treatment. That in itself should be a major concern amongst our Superwomen.

Almonds. Soak 10 raw almonds overnight in water to soften, then peel off the skins. Put almonds in blender with 1 cup warm milk, a pinch of ginger, and a pinch of nutmeg. Drink at night to help you relax before going to bed.
